Baseline Needs Assessment Report
In 2020, GRADECIG conducted a comprehensive Baseline Needs Assessment Report to identify the immediate needs and challenges faced by six communities in Mbouda. This assessment brought together respondents from Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) families, allowing GRADECIG to gather crucial data that informed future programs and interventions. The findings were instrumental in tailoring assistance that directly addressed the most pressing needs of these communities.

Nutritional Support Program
The Nutritional Support initiative, funded by Mission21, was launched to address food insecurity among IDP families in 2021. A total of 175 IDP families from various communities, including Babette, Bafounda, Bamenjida, Bemesso, and Bamelo, benefited from this program. Each family received essential food items such as rice, beans, groundnuts, spaghetti, and Maggi, significantly improving their nutritional and health needs during a critical period.

COVID-19 Response Workshop
In 2021, GRADECIG organized a COVID-19 Response Workshop in Bafoussam with sponsorship from Mission21. This workshop gathered leaders from cultural groups in the North West and South West Regions. Participants received training on health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Following the training, face masks and hand sanitizers were distributed to promote hygiene and safety within their communities.

Peace Building and Sensitization on Gender-Based Violence in Schools
In collaboration with the Association of Researchers in Economic and Political Sciences (ARESP), GRADECIG launched a peace-building initiative in schools in 2021. This included a drawing competition for college students focused on themes of peace and non-violence. Additionally, GRADECIG mobilized communities through flyers and sensitization campaigns to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) in educational settings.

Livelihood Support Project 2021 – Phase 1
In 2021, GRADECIG initiated a Livelihood Support Project aimed at providing sustainable income sources for 10 vulnerable IDP individuals. The selected beneficiaries were assisted in setting up small-scale businesses, which were regularly monitored by GRADECIG staff. This project not only helped the beneficiaries generate income but also enabled them to pay school fees for their children, thus promoting educational continuity.

WASH Program
In 2021, GRADECIG implemented a WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program aimed at improving hygiene practices among 225 female IDPs in Mbouda. Targeting institutions such as GBHS Bannock and the Women Empowerment Center, the program provided hygiene and sanitary kits, including items like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, buckets, aqua tabs for water disinfection, and gallons for water collection.

Sports in Schools
In 2022, GRADECIG organized a sports tournament for male IDP youths, promoting physical health and community bonding. The organization provided sports equipment, including footballs and jerseys. The tournament culminated in a competition where Atlantic Bilingual College Upper Sixth Arts emerged victorious, receiving cash prizes. This initiative was made possible through the partnership with the Village Women Organization (VIWO).

Livelihood Support for Vulnerable IDPs – Phase 2
In May 2022, GRADECIG provided livelihood support to 20 vulnerable IDPs, empowering them economically to enhance their independence and quality of life.
