OUR MISSION 

Through our programs to help the underprivileged and vulnerable persons to develop self awareness and skills in order to gain positive change in their lives and leave in a peaceful community

To transform and impact the life of our target group, by developing their inner most skills, create jobs and life for themselves and become self reliant within a supportive policy environment for peace and sustainable development in Cameroon.

OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Peace Building: Shalom initiative is committed foster peace campaigns, to teach peace building, Conflict transformation and nonviolence. We are committed to offer our local community our peace values such as; love, compassion, reconciliation, empathy and nonviolence. We want a peaceful life for all people.

Education: Shalom initiative seeks to support quality education for all formally or informally, we assist women, girls, men, boys and young people through education and training for them to be able to stand out amongst their peers in the society and make life worth living for them..

Gender Justice: Shalom Initiative is out to achieve gender equality and to empower women, girls, men, boys and persons living with disability. We gather resources, take action and do the things that will lead us to achieving gender justice for all.

Health: Shalom Initiative is out to promote good health and well-being for all, through awareness raising, community sensitization campaigns and providing WASH kits to our local communities.

OUR LEADERS

Vagoga Mary Salle
Executive Coordinator

Vagoga Mary Salle is the Founder and President of Shalom Initiative, a Cameroonian by nationality, a human resource management graduate. She is a trainer of peace building and conflict transformation trained by the PCC at the Presbyterian Peace Office in Buea. She is also a nonviolent trainer as she holds a nonviolent certificate from the Metta Center for nonviolence, directed by Micheal Nagler in the USA. Ex 1 year volunteer at Bread for the world Germany. She is capable of practicing discretionary behaviour and, by working with a diverse work force without discrimination. Her love for peace work and to put smiles on the faces of the people around her and her commitment to build a peaceful community by transforming and impacting lives through her developmental services inspired her to come up with the Shalom Initiative

Etong Tiku Abey
Project Coordinator

ETONG TIKU ABEY a Cameroonian by nationality, a graduate in political science. Holds a Diploma in workplace safety. He is certified mental health personnel. He coordinates the implementation of office projects, support the team through monitoring, evaluation and report, he is committed to support the sustainable development goals and to put in all efforts to make sure that through it shalom initiative reaches her goal of a peaceful life for all people in her community.
